How it works…
The Be Captivating Campaign is aimed at raising funds and awareness for the well established and already thriving charity: Captivating International. Captivating work on the ground in China, Kenya Nepal and Philippines to end trafficking, end poverty and educate people in order to improve their quality of life.
Our allocated project is to raise funds to keep a busy border patrol monitoring station between India and Nepal operational. This single monitoring station intercepts 200 girls a month. We need to raise $19,000 per financial year to keep this patrol intercepting and rescuing those that are being trafficked. So proud of our #becaptivating family; we reached this target for the 2019-2020 financial year and are now into our second year of fundraising for this border. $19,000 by June 2021…

How the funds are to be raised…
1- Sponsor Me
As the heart and visionary behind the #becaptivating campaign, I have pledged to abstain from shopping for a WHOLE YEAR. Those who know me, will know this is no small pledge. Those who know any other woman, will know this is no small pledge! I will personally donate an amount I would have spent on clothes to the campaign. You’re invited to sponsor me and add to this amount. #becaptivating
2- Set Your Own ‘Go Without’ Goal
You may not be willing to go a whole year, but you’re invited to choose your own length of time. Do it with family or friend/s. Commit yourself to a length of time to ‘go without’ something. It may be shopping (this I highly encourage) or it may be something else. Donate an amount you set and/or others sponsor you for and jump on the #becaptivating campaign. We invite you to share your stories and pictures if you take this challenge. You can find this link to do this when you click on ‘donate now’.
3- Clothes Swap Night
Whether you’re ‘going without’ shopping or not, why not have a clothes swap night with friends? Everyone raids their wardrobes, brings their excess goodies together and a hilarious night unfolds. You can set a cover charge per person and donate these funds to the #becaptivating campaign. If you’re hosting a night like this, use the opportunity to open discussion regarding what’s happening to girls and women around the world and how the funds raised through a night such as this are working towards making a difference. We need to make this personal, because it is. #becaptivating
4- Other. Dream it up and then donate.
We are to be captivating for more than aesthetics.
